Board Profile

I help institutions see technology risk clearly and act on it

Governance & stewardship

I approach governance as stewardship. Risks and trade-offs should be stated plainly. Decisions need evidence, and ownership needs to be clear enough that follow-through can be reviewed. My fiduciary experience comes from nonprofit treasurer service. My operating perspective comes from senior technology leadership in a regulated financial institution.

Technology risk and resilience

I start with what must keep working. Then I ask what recovery depends on and where one failure could disrupt a critical service. That connects technology investment to operating risk.

AI oversight

With AI proposals, I start with the work or decision being automated. I want to understand the controls and know what evidence will show whether the system is helping.

Operating discipline

I look for a clear owner and a useful measure. The decision should be recorded well enough to review later. That makes execution visible and helps the institution learn whether a choice produced what it promised.

Board contribution

I lead IT engineering at FHLBank Chicago and previously served as Treasurer of 7th Regiment. My work has taught me to connect technical reality to business impact and surface risk without drama. In a future board role, I would bring that operating perspective to discussions about resilience, controls, people, and resource choices. I would also ask whether ownership is clear and how the organization will know a promised result actually arrived.
